The BBRS will conduct their meeting for December at the Milford Complex , 50 Maple Street. At this meeting DOER will present amendments to the energy code state statue requires the BBRS to adopt the latest IECC (energy code) within 1 year of the ICC adoption. With that adoption just like any code change allows the opportunity to add or change amendments specifically to Massachusetts. Several amendments will be discussed and may be adopted it is important for the private sector to attend these meetings and voice your concerns for at the hearing process is where to bring up any issues not after the regulations have passed.
The energy code with Massachusetts amendments is the most restricted in the country because of the local amendment process. In the past there has been little or no opposition from the private sector. I encourage attendance from all parts of the industry even if your a one man show.
Hope to see you Tuesday starting at 1:00 for the BBRS monthly meeting in Milfrd at 50 Maple Street at the dept of corrections building, you will find it eye opening I am sure.
